Goalkeeping Is
a Position Apart.
Train It That Way.
Dedicated goalkeeper training built around the demands keepers actually face — footwork, handling, distribution, and the read. Small groups, real reps, led by a specialist GK coach.
The Keeper Gets
Their Own Session.
On most teams the goalkeeper rotates through field drills and gets ten minutes of shot-stopping at the end. That isn’t goalkeeper training — it’s an afterthought.
At SFA, keepers train with a coach who has stood in the goal. Every rep is built for the position: the footwork, the hands, the angles, the decision a half-second before the shot.
- 1
Position-specific reps
Handling, footwork, shot-stopping, and distribution — not filler. Every minute is a keeper’s minute.
- 2
Small groups, more touches
Keepers don’t develop standing in line. Small numbers mean more reps and direct coaching every session.
- 3
Grouped by age & level
U8–U12 and U13–up train separately, so the work matches the body and the game in front of them.
- 4
A clear pathway

Coach Aiden Green
Academy Goalkeeper Coach — Soccer Field Academy
Aiden leads goalkeeper development across SFA — from Weekly Academy sessions to private 1-on-1 work. He coaches keepers from U8 through U18, adapting every session to the age and stage of the player in front of him.
His approach is built on SFA’s player-first philosophy: real reps, honest feedback, and a clear plan for getting better. Every session is structured to develop the whole keeper — handling, footwork, positioning, distribution, and the confidence to own the box.
Aiden holds a C License and a Goalkeeping Diploma, along with a BSc in Sports Development and Coaching — formal grounding that shows up in how deliberately each session is built.
