Small-sided festival games. More touches, more confidence — perfect for early players.
Equal participation. Every player plays, learns, and feels included — every week.
Mini
Fall in love with the ball.
- All pods play at once in simultaneous 3v3 games
- No goalkeepers — every player is attacker and defender
- Rolling subs and equal play across every pod
Why it works: More touches per minute. More scoring chances. Kids stay in the action instead of standing around waiting for a turn.
Register U6 Mini →Mini
First taste of the real game.
- Two simultaneous games per matchup — 4v4 (3v3 + GK)
- Short goalkeeper shifts so every player gets a turn
- Rolling subs and pod rotations to keep everyone moving
Why it works: Players get their first taste of structured roles — including keeper — without the pressure of a full 7v7 game. Equal play stays the priority.
Register U7 Mini →Train this summer at SFA — without missing a beat.
U8+ players can join our Weekly Academy Training this summer — small-group skill work in 4-week cycles, with full SoccerBot360 access. Same facility, same coaching staff, structured development.

Start with games. Add what you need.

Parents ask us this most.
Straight answers — no marketing fluff. If something’s not here, just call us.
Why games-only this summer instead of training + games?
We listened to parents. Most families already have a packed summer — club practices, vacations, camps. Stacking two weekly Rec+ sessions on top of that meant some kids couldn’t commit and others burned out.
The new format: one Thursday game per week, $99 base price. Players who want more development between games can add Futures (group skill training) or Tech-Fusion (SoccerBot360 + Speed Court) at registration. You choose what fits.
What’s different about Fall Rec+?
Fall brings back the full training + games model. Once school is in session, families want more development, not less — so Fall Rec+ runs two touchpoints per week:
Thursday training (5:30–6:30 PM) + Sunday games (2:00–3:00 PM) at SFA Training Center | Bexley.
Season: Sep 7 – Oct 25, 2026 (7 weeks). Fee: $165 / player. Ages: U6, U7, and U8 (expanded from Summer’s U6/U7 only).
Registration deadline is Aug 23, 2026. Doors open after Summer registration closes — join the waitlist to be notified first.
How much does it cost and what are the tiers?
Tier 1 — Rec+ Essentials: $99 Games only. The best fit for most families.
Tier 2 — Rec+ + Futures: $179 Adds 4 weeks of Futures skill training (saves $9 vs. buying separately).
Tier 3 — Rec+ Complete: $199 Adds Futures + 1 Tech-Fusion session (saves $14 total).
New players also pay $40 for the uniform kit (jersey, shorts, socks) — one-time, reusable every Rec+ season. Returning players with an SFA kit skip this.
What’s the difference between Futures and Tech-Fusion?
Futures is structured skill training — ball mastery, first touch, footwork. Small group, 4-week cycles, classroom-style progression.
Tech-Fusion is a 60-minute tech-driven session that pairs Speed Court (reactive speed/agility) with SoccerBot360 (precision technical work). Different tools, different focus.
Most Rec+ families who want development add Futures. Players prepping for tryouts or who want measurable performance data choose Tech-Fusion.
Is Rec+ a “real” league? Standings? Trophies?
Rec+ is a festival-style league — real games, real coaching, real structure — but for our youngest players (U6 and U7) we keep it low-pressure: no formal standings, no trophies for the “top team,” and every player plays every week.
The season closes with an end-of-season festival celebration and a medal for every player. At this age the goal is confidence, ball mastery, and falling in love with the game — not a league table.
When are games held?
All Rec+ games are on Thursdays at SFA Training Center | Bexley. Your division’s specific time slot is locked for the full season, so you can plan around it. Typical windows are between 5:00–7:30 PM depending on age group.
The full 7-week season runs Jun 25 – Aug 6, 2026.
Registration closes June 18 (one week before the first game). We hold a soft close — if spots remain, late sign-ups may be accepted, so call us at (614) 300-0016 if you miss it.
My child has never played before. Is Rec+ right for them?
Absolutely. Summer 2026 Rec+ is built for our youngest players — U6 and U7, including total beginners. The 3v3 and 4v4 festival format is designed to introduce kids to soccer in a fun, pressure-free environment with professional coaching support.
For older first-time players (U8+), our Weekly Academy Training is a better fit — same facility, same coaching, structured skill development in 4-week cycles.
What’s the player-to-coach ratio?
Rec+ games run with a 12:1 player-to-coach ratio max — the same standard we hold across all SFA programs. Every player gets real coaching time, not just whoever raises their hand loudest.
Can my child request to play with a friend?
Yes. Friend requests are honored whenever possible. We balance pods by age first (U6 with U6, U7 with U7), but we’ll do our best to keep buddies together within the same age group. Add friend requests during registration.
What if we need to miss a game?
No penalties — life happens. Just let your coach know in advance. We don’t do session refunds for missed weeks (it’s a flat season fee), but we do everything we can to keep you informed of schedule changes.
What do I need to bring? Is the uniform required?
Bring: indoor turf shoes or flats (no cleats), shin guards, water bottle.
We provide: all soccer balls and access to the SFA facility.
Uniform kit ($40): required for new players. One-time purchase — jersey, shorts, socks — reusable for every future Rec+ season. Returning players who already own an SFA kit skip this charge.
Is there a sibling discount?
Yes. $25 off each additional sibling, automatically applied at checkout. Sign all your players up in one transaction to claim it.
