The Personal Development Plan
A documented roadmap your player owns — built around their goals, tracked every session.
The Personal Development Plan
Most private soccer training is just more touches. SFA’s 1-on-1 is built around a documented, tracked plan your player owns — so every session builds on the last and progress is something you can actually see.
Player Assessment
A structured first session to identify strengths, weaknesses, and priority areas — by position, age, and goal. The foundation of the plan.
Build the Plan
Your coach drafts a written development roadmap with specific goals, target skills, and a session-by-session focus. Parents get a copy.
Train With Purpose
60-minute sessions that execute the plan — high-rep, focused, position-specific. Real-time coaching corrections, every session.
Written Session Feedback
After every session, your coach writes feedback — what was worked on, what improved, what’s next. Progress is documented, not assumed.
A real plan you can hold
Documented goals and progression. Not a vague promise of “improvement.”
Every session builds on the last
Tracked progression — no repeating drills, no wasted reps.
Parents see what’s improving
Written feedback after each session. You’re never guessing what your coach worked on.
What we
actually train.
Every PDP is unique — but sessions draw from these core development areas. Your coach builds the right mix for your player’s age, position, and goals.
Ball Mastery & First Touch
The foundation of every player — cleaner touches, faster control, and confidence under pressure.
Speed of Play & Decision-Making
Train the brain, not just the feet — scanning, recognizing pressure, choosing the right pass before the ball arrives.
Position-Specific Training
Striker, midfielder, defender, goalkeeper — sessions built around the demands of the role your player actually plays.
Finishing & Shooting Technique
The reps that actually translate to games — shape, plant foot, contact, follow-through. Repeatable, not random.
Speed, Agility & Coordination
Athletic foundation — change of direction, first-step explosiveness, and the physical edge that wins balls.
Tactical Awareness & Positioning
The “why” behind the game — reading shape, spacing, opponent runs, and how to influence a phase of play.
Dribbling Under Pressure
The skill that separates good from great — close control in tight spaces, fakes, body shape, and beating a defender 1v1.
Game Confidence Under Pressure
The mental side — composure, resilience, the willingness to demand the ball when the game gets hard.
Train inside SoccerBot360 + Speed Court
1-on-1 sessions can include SoccerBot360 for high-rep technical and reaction work, plus Speed Court for agility and cognitive decision-making — measurable, repeatable, the same tech pro academies use.
From booking to real progress.
Four clear steps. No guesswork. Most players are training within the week.

The honest truth about
where players actually improve.

Common questions.
Quick answers to what parents ask most before their first 1-on-1 session.
How much does 1-on-1 training cost?
Three tiers based on coach: $120 / $140 / $165 per 60-minute session. Every session includes the Personal Development Plan, written session feedback, and access to SoccerBot360 + Speed Court — the differences between tiers come down to the coach’s licensure and experience.
Multi-session packages and consistent-training discounts are available for players training 2+ times per week — email [email protected] for details.
How long is each session?
All private sessions are 60 minutes — long enough for warm-up, focused technical work, and game-realistic application. Most parents are surprised by how much is covered in an hour with a 1-on-1 coach.
What ages do you train?
1-on-1 training is available for players roughly age 6 through 18+. Each coach has age strengths — Dyland specializes in younger players (6–12), James and the senior coaches typically work with U11+ and competitive athletes preparing for elite pathways.
If you’re not sure which coach is right for your player’s age and level, email us or call (614) 300-0016 — we’ll recommend the right fit.
How often should my child train 1-on-1?
Most athletes see significant improvement with 1 session per week alongside their team training. Competitive players preparing for tryouts or chasing elite pathways often train 2–3x per week for faster, more measurable progress.
The Personal Development Plan adapts to your training frequency — your coach builds the session structure around how often you’re training.
Can I choose my coach?
Yes. You can pick a coach directly from the booking page based on their specialty, price tier, and availability. Each coach has their own real-time Acuity calendar.
If you’d rather we recommend a fit based on your player’s age, position, and goals, just reach out — that’s part of how we approach onboarding.
What’s “The Personal Development Plan”?
It’s the documented, written training plan your coach builds after your player’s first assessment session. The PDP includes specific goals, target skill areas, position-specific focus, and session-by-session progression — and it’s updated as your player grows.
Parents get a copy. After every session, your coach adds written feedback to track what was worked on, what improved, and what’s next. Progress becomes documented instead of assumed.
Do you offer small-group private training?
Yes. We also offer 2-on-1 and small-group private training — same booking system, same coaches, lower per-player cost when sharing a session with a teammate or sibling. Great for players who want focused coaching but with a training partner.
The booking page lets you select small-group session types — or email us to coordinate.
How is this different from my child’s team practice?
Team practice is designed to prepare the team for the next game. Coaches teach formations, set pieces, and team principles — which matters, but it doesn’t fix what’s specifically holding your individual player back.
Private 1-on-1 is the opposite: every minute targets your player. Their first touch, their decision-making, their position, their specific gaps. The PDP makes that improvement measurable instead of vague.
Can I book a single session, or do I have to commit long-term?
No commitment required. You can book a single 60-minute session through the real-time booking system — pick a coach, pick a time, pay online. Most parents book one to see how it goes, then schedule recurring sessions if it’s a good fit.
Still have a question?
Email [email protected] or call (614) 300-0016 — we’ll answer directly, usually within a few hours.
