The Soccer Field Academy is proud to announce that owner and head trainer James Field will be travelling to Mombasa, Kenya as part of the continuing partnership between the SFA and the Likoni Community Football League (LCFL). James will be proving coaching education to the league’s managers, sharing his years of experience in soccer and youth development.
The LCFL is a program designed to “expose young people to the sport of soccer and provide opportunities to create leaders in the community”. Their aim is to “Mobilize, inspire, create and thus build and strengthen individuals and the community through soccer”.
James will be in Mombasa from March 9th through the 20th. He will be teaching coaching clinics, helping local youth coaches become better equipped to teach young players about soccer. “It’s a real honor and privilege to pass on some of the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the years to such wonderful people.” Said James.
The LCFL runs leagues year round, as well as coaching and refereeing clinics. In addition to on-field programs they also hold peace and security, anti-drugs, HIV/AIDS, and female empowerment programs throughout the year.
